From 30 December 2026, EU companies that buy wood and furniture from Vietnam need data from their suppliers for every order. Answer nine questions to see whether you can deliver it today.

What your EU customer will ask for

  • Where the wood was grown
  • That it was harvested legally
  • No deforestation, and no forest degradation, after 31 December 2020
  • How the wood got into the product

Nine questions

1. Do you know the CN/HS code of every product you ship to the EU?

2. Do you know which EU customer submits the due diligence statement, and from which date?

3. Do you have the location of every plot your wood comes from (a point, or a polygon for plots over 4 hectares)?

4. Do you have land-use, harvest and transport documents for every source?

5. Do you know the scientific name (genus and species) of every wood you use?

6. Do you know the country where every wood was grown, including imported timber?

7. Can you show which wood deliveries went into which shipment?

8. Do your suppliers know they will be asked for this data, and have they agreed to provide it?

9. Is one person in your company responsible for EUDR requests from customers?
